The word diarrhea is originated from the Greek word “diarrhoia” meaning flowing continuously through. Some people spell “diarrhoea” that is also true. There could be many reasons that cause diarrhea. This is labeled as symptoms rather than the disease.
Ayurveda defines this as one of the roga (disease). Ati means plenty or too much and saara means some liquid. Together this means too much watery stools from gudaa (the anus).
