A deficiency in the functioning of these glands cause an imbalance in the level of testosterone in the body, thereby negatively affecting the sex drive and ability to perform in bed.

Traumatic and severe injuries of the pelvic region, sex organs, spinal cord etc., can cause an irreparable damage to the tissues of the penis. This further leads to impairment of blood flow in the penis, thereby preventing a man to achieve and sustain an erection for sexual intercourse.
