Studies show that there one of the main causes of hemorrhoids in people is the wrong diet. One is the diet we take. If one does not eat right, they may suffer from constipation and if one suffers for a prolonged time from constipation there are all likely chances of suffering from such a disease. This can be corrected by eating right, drinking plenty of water and juices and stop eating junk and processed food. Eating excessive spicy food may trigger off the same too.
Another cause of hemorrhoid is pregnancy in women, especially during the labor period. It has been seen that when women are in labor a lot of pressure is exerted on the vagina and also the anal tissues, if the pregnant woman has a long labor; it means that a lot of pressure is put on the area.
Thus, the chances of pregnant women getting hemorrhoids post pregnancy are also high. It has also been seen that during pregnancy, women tend to get a bit constipated. As a result, their bowel movements are undertaken with a lot of pressure. This leads to hemorrhoids too.
The second reason for the cause of hemorrhoids is a lifestyle which is sedentary. Sitting for long hours puts pressure on the behind and this may cause hemorrhoids.
Hence it is essential to move about and exercise regularly so that blood flow to the rectal area is smooth and increased.
Growing age is also another factor for the cause of hemorrhoids with people. With age the tissues surrounding the anal area becomes weak and slides down the anal canal causing constipation. Also, the age factor leads to lot of hormonal changes, which are affected by medication too.
