It is effective against repelling ticks too and is easily available in form of hand creams, soaps and other cosmetic products. For repelling ticks, use few drops of neem oil and apply directly over the skin. The aroma of neem oil is very effective in warding off ticks, bugs and mosquitoes.
Remain Fully Covered
The safest means of repelling ticks is by remaining fully covered. Exposed skin is the most tempting site of infection for these ticks and by use of long shirts, light weight pants, high socks and boots will help to repel them, when moving out in tick zones. Those going for hiking, should make use of higher boots to support ankles and repel tick stings at the ankle region.
