This is an ayurvedic home remedy for nose bleeding, dry sinus and extreme congestion. If you want to apply this oil, then just immerse the bottle in warm water so that the oil becomes hot.
Take a few drops of this warm oil in your fingers and gently begin massaging the outside and inside of the nose. You must apply the oil in the sinus passage to moisten the walls of the nose. When you rinse your nasal passage in the morning, you can apply the nasya oil so that the nose walls remain moist.
Dry air is another factor that contributes to nose bleeding. This mostly happens in winter, or extremely hot and arid climate. These are some climates where the skin can dry out easily. Dry skin can cause irritation and also bleeding.
Use a humidifier at home all the time for moistening the skin. Stay hydrated, you can drink water and lots of fluid to keep your body active and hydrated. You can also apply petroleum jelly on the opening of your nose to moisten the skin inside.
You have to understand that water is the world’s greatest healer. If you keep yourself well hydrated at all times, your skin will never dry up even in the driest of the climate. You must drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.
Salt is an excellent medicine for the prevention of nosebleeds. You must perform nasal irrigation on a daily basis. Nasal irrigation will help you to easily get rid of dust, mucus and other dirt. Irrigating the nasal passage will soothe the skin of the passage. You will require 1 or 1 ½ cups of tepid water, ear syringe, ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon baking soda.
You can mix the dry ingredients in the tepid water and then test your temperature. Take the water inside the bulb and the squirt the saline solution in the nose with the other nostril closed. Gently lower your head and blow out all the water.
If you want to moisten the nasal passage then you can also take the help of steam. Take most of the opportunity to breathe the steam, this will come from the hot cup of tea, soup or steam bath.
If you want to take a mini steam bath at home then you can boil ½ pot of water, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil and then put this bowl on a heavy surface. Cover your head with a towel and lean forward towards the hot bowl. Start breathing slowly and normally. Take the steam bath twice every day.
You can keep your nasal passage moisturized with the help of vitamin E. You will get soft jelly-capsules of vitamin E easily over the counter at pharmacies. Break a capsule and take out the oil from it.
With the help of the little finger or a cotton swab you can gently wipe the inner walls of your nose. This will be great especially when you apply the oil at night.
You have to remember that your nose is a very sensitive part of the body. You will have to be very careful to touch it or blow it after nose bleeding. You should never pick your nose. You must remember that fingers will irritate the inside walls of your nostrils.
You can use soft tissues, cotton swabs or nasal irrigation to clean your nose. Always blow your nose gently and only when it is essential. You must never smoke as it will dry out the nasal passage and only cause further damage to your body. Passive smoking is also injurious to health an you should stay away from such an environment.
