After soaking the cloth in hot water wring out the extra water. Apply this cloth on the affected area for around 5 minutes several times in a day. An alternative for this process is to wash the affected area from warm water several times daily.

2. Salt Water Gargle

If you have any swelling in your neck or throat or there is a swelling due to any throat infection doing salt water gargle can be helpful to you. This can help control the inflammation and swelling in your lymph nodes. This one is also an easy treatment as all you will need are half teaspoon of salt and some warm water. Mix this salt in 1 cup of warm water. Do gargle from this water a few times every day. Continue doing this for about a week.

3. Honey And Lemon Juice

Honey has always been known for its sweetening and beauty benefits but it is known by a few people only that honey has some health benefits also such as in swollen lymph nodes. Lemon is also known to be effective in reducing swelling in lymph nodes. The ingredients which will be required are 2 teaspoon of raw honey, a little lemon juice and 1 glass of warm water. You can either mix the above three ingredients and drink it twice every day or an alternative will be to apply raw honey on the affected area for 15 minutes every day. This mixture will also help fight the cause further.

Tea bags are often used to remove dark circles when applied to eye lids. As they have anti swelling qualities they can be useful for swollen lymph nodes. The only ingredients required are some tea bags and hot water. You need to soak these tea bags in hot water and apply them to the affected swollen area. You can repeat this 2-3 times every day for about a week.

You can also use castor oil to reduce swollen lymph nodes. It has anti inflammatory qualities which will help reduce the swelling. It is also known to improve blood flow in our body. They can help remove toxins from our body and also boost our immunity system. You will need castor oil, some hot water and a washcloth for doping this. Massage the affected area from castor oil gently for five minutes. Soak the washcloth in warm water and wring out the extra water. Put this washcloth on the swollen area for five minutes. You can then rinse it off using lukewarm water. To get the best result repeat this twice every day for about a week.
